tell that to someone on a bad run who opens it for the mission and ends up chucking a tenner on three 3pm games they've got no real view on. it accumulates mate. not for everyone but for some it does and those are exactly the people these features are designed around if we're being honest

newcastle to win, osula to score, over 2.5. sitting at just under 7/1 now. palace have two home wins since november so the value is there if toon actually show up. gordon has to start, miley's been decent, just need them to not go to sleep in the second half like they keep doing

that's an individual choice argument, not a design ethics argument. operators build these features knowing the full distribution of their user base. "some people can resist it" isn't a defense when the mechanism is deliberately engineered around the segment that can't. both things can be true simultaneously - most people make fine choices and operators specifically build products that exploit the limits of self-regulation
 
the volume jackpot on unibet is the part that bothers me most. you can watch the prize pool ticking up all day and the winners each week have placed something like 300 to 400 bets in seven days. 300 bets in a week. thet's not a recreational punter. that's someone with a serious problem or a professional arber or a bot and the jackpot is effectively rewarding pure volime with no other criterion at all
 
jackpot mechanics that reward raw volume with no skill element are the worst version of this whole thing. at least missions are built around normal bet types. "bet more to maybe win something" with no other consideration is about as barefaced as it gets
 
been reading this an right so chelsea 0-3 city and haaland blanked. three goals, none of them his. o'reilly, guehi, doku. backed him anytime scorer and he gave me absolutely nothing for 90 minutes in a three nil away win. that's a specific kind of pain.

osula scored. had it going at 43 minutes. then mateta off the bench, header in the 80th, penalty in the 90th plus four because botman decided to fell someone in the box. gordon came off for barnes before any of it. first leg came in. second leg just watched botman deck someone in the box in stoppage time and that was that
